Our beautiful property on Rogers Road has been a working farm since 1837 when Mr. and Mrs. David Rogers took out a land grant after arriving in Michigan from New York.
They raised nine children on the land, many of whom stayed in the Parma area. Familiar names include Collier, Horton, Hendershott, Cully, Rodgers, Elliot, Semon and Chamberlain.
In more recent history, Genevieve Hendershott bred Irises here before Donna Scholl turned the property into Puddingstone Farms Nursery.
Our family purchased the land in 2017 and established umbel nursery & farmstead. We’re honored to work with Donna’s mom Jackie, who returns each growing season to help care for the plants, entertain us with her sassy attitude, and support our family business.
